Studio works following a residency at Fremantle Arts Centre

The directions of these works came about during and after a 10,000km+ return road trip to the wild, wild, wildflower west. To visit the region across the Spring flowering season was a long held dream and it was a spectacular treat. And an artist residency is a perfect 'time out' to escape your own surrounds, your regular ways of working, and be excited by new ones.

Working from a studio at the Fremantle Arts Centre with two other artists and touring the Fremantle and Perth regions provided new textures, palettes and compositions that I'm still exploring now.
